Through a pastor, we reach distressed families in Gyumri. Over the past few years, he has been distributing food packages to 41 families. The area in northern Armenia is characterized by a strong poverty. Unemployment is widespread and in addition, this area has been shattered by a strong earthquake at the end of the last century. From this quake, the small town has never been able to recover completely, and especially families with children still suffer from it. We understand the food packages as emergency aid.
Cost for a family is: per month approx. CHF 30.–
On the occasion of the various project tours, we were able to hand over to the befriended pastor an amount of total CHF 11’360.– (end of Mai 2022). We have decided as a association to support this project with at least € 50 per month.

Through the donations of the association, which were used for direct assistance to the needy, this church could have on its own own resources to renovate a community center. In all these projects, the members of the Board have agreed to travel to Armenia at regular intervals in order to coach the persons involved and to accompany the projects.
